Exchanges

At White Kailash, every shirt is handspun and handwoven in small batches by KVIC-certified artisans. We want yours to fit beautifully — so if the size isn't quite right, we'll happily exchange it for you.

Please note: we offer size exchanges, not returns for refund. If a shirt doesn't fit, request an exchange and we'll send you the right size. Refunds apply only to damaged, defective, or incorrect items received (see below).

How to request an exchange

Exchanges use our standard request flow. When you reach the note field, simply write “EXCHANGE” along with the size you'd like — for example, “EXCHANGE — please send size L.” This tells our team to ship your new size rather than process a refund.

  1. Click Request an exchange below and sign in with the email used on your order.
  2. Open the order and select the item.
  3. Choose a reason (for example, Too small or Too big).
  4. In the note field, write EXCHANGE + your requested size.
  5. Submit your request. We'll review it and email you the next steps.

Exchange terms

  • Exchanges can be requested within 7 days of delivery.
  • Your first exchange is complimentary; each subsequent exchange carries a ₹150 handling fee.
  • After your first exchange, any further fit or quality concerns are resolved through store credit.
  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and unworn, with original tags and packaging intact.
  • Altered garments are not eligible for exchange.
  • After two failed pickup attempts, we'll ask you to self-ship the item to the address our team provides.
  • Exchanges are processed once the returned shirt reaches our warehouse and passes quality verification — typically 3–4 working days.

Damaged, defective, or wrong item

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please email clear photos and your order details within 24 hours of delivery to contact@whitekailash.com. Once verified, we'll arrange a return, replacement, or refund.

Powerloom Khadi vs Handspun Khadi

Not all Khadi is equal.

Handspun Khadi has life — uneven threads, soft movement, true comfort.

Powerloom Khadi imitates the look, but not the soul.

S Twist Thread

Also called the left-hand or reverse twist, it is formed by rotating the spindle in an anti-clockwise direction. Khadi is defined by its handspun S-twist yarn, using a charkha

Z Twist Thread

Also known as the right-hand twist, it is formed by rotating the spindle in a clockwise direction and is predominant in machine-spun yarn

The Magnifying Glass Test

Look closely. Handmade Khadi threads are irregular, breathing with tiny gaps.

Machine Khadi is too perfect — too tight to breathe.
